Cult-O-Rama: Welcome to Tromaville!

Midnight weekend screenings happen on Friday & Saturday nights (meaning arrive on Friday and/or Saturday night by 11:45pm for seating, the movie starts after midnight)!

Run Time: 200 min.

Notoriously Nasty November is alive and well at Cult-O-Rama, and we couldn’t think of a better time to hedge our bets on a showcase of films from the most infamously gritty production company: Troma Entertainment!

Be warned: These movies contain just about any and every little thing that could make someone clutch their pearls, if not throw up in their mouth a little.

The Toxic Avenger –  Poor Melvin! He’s a janitor at a fitness center, thanklessly cleaning up after all of Tromaville’s most aggressive and oversexed locals who hate his guts simply because he’s a nerd. When they play a prank on him that ultimately lands him in a vat of toxic goo, he mutates into the hero that the hedonistic Tromaville not only needs, but deserves. You’ve gotta see the low-budget masterpiece that catapulted Troma’s legacy into legendary status but be warned: this is some seriously gross-out and politically incorrect satire. Peter Dinklage may have donned the tutu and wielded the mop recently, but even the most well-respected actor can’t compare to the original! We  the Monster Hero!

Surf Nazis Must Die! – Tonal shift alert! If you made it through The Toxic Avenger, surely you will make it through this lesser-known revenge + beachsploitation combo! A gang of neo-Nazis is on a streak of terror, taking control of all of the beaches in town with no one powerful enough to stop them… or so they think. Little do they know that their biggest threat is Eleanor Washington, a middle-aged woman who is about to bust out of her retirement home to exact her revenge on them for killing her son.

Cult movies rule at Row House Cinema! Join us for double features of some of the wildest, weirdest, and best cult films and B movies that you don’t often find the big screen one Friday night each month. There will be trivia, the big bag o’ crap, and whatever other fun surprises our host Cara dreams up!
