Influence by the 1927 silent classic, the story follows a robot named Tima, who ends up starting a revolution for control of the City of Metropolis and the rights of robots, who are designated as second-class citizens. With a jazz soundtrack and some of the best visuals ever created, Roger Ebert called Metropolis “one of the best animated films I have ever seen”.
