Gregory Peck gives one of the best performances of his career as Atticus Finch — a widowed attorney in Alabama who defends a black man accused of rape.  His childre,n Scout and Jem, spend their time spying on their reclusive neighbor, Boo Radley, until the trial and tangent events expose the children to evils of racism.
