Public Domain Day 2024
US Copyright Law protects creative property for a almost full century before it comes into public domain.
Films from the year 1928 — when Charlie Chaplain and Buster Keaton were at the height of their careers and when Renée Jeanne Falconetti gave one of the greatest performances of all time as Joan of Arc — will move into the public domain on January 1, 2024.
We are celebrating these important pieces of cinematic history all day on January 1 at Row House- Lawrenceville with our first ever Public Domain Day. Join us for special intros from the local film community and other experts and discounted admission all day.
You can buy a pass to see all of the films for $28 — a nod at 1928.
All Day January 1, 2024
Stay tuned for upcoming showtimes!
