Putting Lawrenceville in the spotlight for Episode 5, “Destination with Natalie Bencivenga” in partnership with WQED, is a series that highlights the contributions of  immigrants — past and present — in Western Pennsylvania. After the screening, Bencivenga will host a talk-back discussion at the cinema focused on immigrant rights, affordable housing and civic engagement featuring local leaders from Frontline Dignity, Lawrenceville Corporation and Row House Cinema.

“It has been inspiring to learn about Lawrenceville’s indigenous beginnings and who resides here now,” Bencivenga said. “From my conversations with community members for this episode, I have been reminded of how we must actively choose every day to support and uplift one another.”

A portion of the proceeds will go to Lawrenceville United, a resident-driven, non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of life for all Lawrenceville residents.
