Row House Cinema is, simply put, a fantastic night out.

Our mission is to create a magical experience through great movies, delicious food, and top-notch beverages. With our unique programming, we aim to build a stronger, more connected film community right here in Pittsburgh.

Row House opened its doors in June 2014 with a special screening of Pulp Fiction, and we’ve been going strong ever since—showing more than 250 new, old, popular, obscure, weird, and wonderful films every year on a single screen. Each week, we pick a theme and curate a lineup of movies to match. Past themes have included everything from Akira Kurosawa and Intro to French New Wave to Tight Pants Week—a tribute to films featuring lead actors in famously snug trousers.

Our original location is an 84-seat single-screen theater housed in a 1860s historic building in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood.  In 2023, we expanded to a second location: Row House – Hollywood in Dormont, a vibrant suburb of Pittsburgh. Originally built in 1926 as a movie theater, it’s currently under renovation scheduled to open soon.

We proudly serve locally made concessions (including our beloved all-natural popcorn) and offer a massive, eclectic beer, wine, soda, and sake selection through our adjoining bottle shop, Bierport.

Throughout the year, we host all kinds of events—Brew & Views (movies paired with themed beers served during key scenes), Cereal Cinemas, Coconut Night, lectures, major film festivals, and home to Pittsburgh’s Rocky Horror troop, The Junior Chamber of Commerce Players.

We’re also home to an active film club film club with over 600 movie lovers—and growing!
