Chic socialite Melanie Daniels enjoys a passing flirtation with an eligible attorney and, on an impulse, follows him to his hometown bearing a gift of lovebirds. But upon her arrival, the bird population runs amok. Suddenly, the townsfolk face a massive avian onslaught, with the feathered fiends inexplicably attacking people.

Framed for murder, mistaken for a spy — a Madison Avenue advertising man goes on the run with a beautiful blonde who helps him to evade authorities. His world is turned upside down yet again when he learns that Eve isn’t the innocent bystander he thought she was. Not all is as it seems, however, leading to a dramatic rescue and escape at the top of Mt. Rushmore.
